This packet contains the two scheduled posts for 2026-04-22. The Twitter/X post uses the MCP UTM link. The Reddit post should be treated as discussion-first and should not include a CTA unless the thread asks for one.

Post 1: Twitter/X

Suggested time: 18:00 SGT
Post type: MCP use case
CTA: MCP guide
Asset: optional schema/tool-output snippet

MCP is useful, but only if the underlying tool returns clean data.

A shopping agent does not need "the web." It needs reliable product search, price comparison, and availability signals in a shape that survives automation.

That is the interface we are optimizing at BuyWhere.

Preflight:

  • verify the MCP guide URL resolves
  • confirm any attached snippet matches current tool/API language
  • if the MCP guide is not in a publish-ready state, remove the link and keep the post as an architecture take

Post 2: Reddit

Suggested time: 21:30 SGT
Target subreddit: r/MachineLearning
Post type: Technical discussion
CTA: discussion-only by default
Asset: none

Title: What is the right response shape for a shopping-agent API?

Body: If you were designing an API specifically for shopping agents, what would you prioritize beyond title + price + URL?

My shortlist would be: normalized merchant/source, confidence in the match, availability prediction, buybox price, competitor count, and enough metadata for an agent to explain why it chose one result over another.

Curious what others would add or remove. I work on BuyWhere, so this is a live design question for us rather than a theoretical one.

Preflight:

  • check the current r/MachineLearning rules and front page before posting
  • skip or move to a comment if the subreddit mood is promotion-sensitive
  • do not add docs/API links unless someone explicitly asks
  • be ready to answer with architecture tradeoffs rather than product claims

Tracking

After publishing, update BUY-2453_post_tracking_template.csv with:

  • actual publish time
  • live post URL
  • whether the Reddit post stayed up
  • any objections about response shape, promotion, or API design
